D.S.C. RECORDING

When shooting a still image, it is not recorded onto the tape, but it is stored in the camcorder's built-in memory in the selected Picture Mode. A stored still image data can be transferred to a PC, saved, and processed using a Paint Software program or Mr. Photo Gold ( pg. 34).

A still image processed on the PC can be also inserted onto a tape ( pg. 53).

MODE SELECTION

1 Press in the tabs on the lens cap to remove it, then set the Power Switch to “ ”. The VIDEO Lamp comes on. If the DSC Lamp is not lit, press REFRESH for approx. 1 second to select “DSC”. An image appears.

2 To select the Picture Mode, perform steps 2 through 4 of “Picture Mode Setting” on pg. 16.

3 Rotate the MENU Wheel to select “SNAPSHOT”, and press it. The SNAPSHOT Menu appears.

Rotate the MENU Wheel to select the appropriate mode among the 4 Snapshot modes ( pg. 29), and press it. Selection is complete.

4 The Menu Screen reappears with the highlight bar on

STILL IMAGE STORAGE

1 Press SNAPSHOT.

•Regardless of the Power Switch position (“ ” or “ ”), Snapshot recording takes place using the selected Snapshot mode.

•The remaining number of shots available is displayed.

To Delete Unwanted Still Images . . .

When the remaining number indicator displays “0” (blinking), it is not possible to continue storing pictures until you delete some shots to make room for new ones. Perform “DELETE” function in the Menu Screen to remove pictures you do not need ( pg. 33).
