Step 7 Please configure a unique static IP address for your camera. The IP address you configure must match with your local network setting. For example, if your router’s IP address is 192.168.1.1, and its subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, the IP address you assign to the camera must be 192.168.1.x, where x is a number from 2~254, but outside of the DHCP range (i.e. 100~199). You can refer to the router’s user manual to find out the required information.
The settings configured in the below sample are for your reference:
IP Address: 192.168.1.205
Submask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1 (this is the router’s IP address)
The benefit of setting a static IP for your camera is that you can always locate it with its fixed IP address.
NOTE If you are not sure how to configure the correct IP settings, you can select DHCP to let your router dynamically assign an IP to your camera.
Enter “admin” for both ID and password, and click Change.
Wait for 30 seconds and the camera will be restarted. Click OK when you see this message.
