Connecting Your Speakers
Before you connect your speakers, read the following:
•Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.
•Read the instructions supplied with your speakers.
•Pay close attention to speaker wiring polarity. In other words, connect positive (+) terminals only to positive (+) terminals, and negative
•Only use speakers with an impedance of 4 ohms or higher. If you use speakers with a lower impedance, and use the amplifier at high volume levels for a long period of time, the
•Unnecessarily long or very thin speaker cables may affect the sound quality and should be avoided.
•Be careful not to short the posi-
tive and negative connections. NO
Doing so may damage the CD Receiver.
• Don’t connect more than one cable to each speaker terminal. Doing so may damage the CD Receiver.
•If you want to connect a single speaker instead of a pair, connect it to either the left or right speaker terminals, not both.
Connecting the Speaker Cords to the Speaker Connectors
1 Strip 10 mm from the

2 Twist the stripped end of the cord.
3 Push the lever up.
4 Insert the stripped end of the cord.
