Connecting External Speakers

Speaker Compatibility:

•• Be sure to use external speakers with an impedance of 4 ohm and a rated input of at least 15W.

Connect the ends of the cables to the SPEAKER terminals as shown below. Connect the leads to the SPEAKER terminals of the same polarity.

■■Make sure to connect the speaker jack and cable polarity (, ) properly. The speaker terminals have plus and minus polarity.

The cables are also divided into plus and minus.

When connecting the left/right speakers, be sure to connect the plus/minus jacks with the correct cables.

CAUTION

•• Connect the speaker wires to the speakers first, then to the unit.

•• Use speakers with an impedance of 4 ohm as lower impedance speakers can damage the unit.

•• Do not mistake the right and the left channels. The right speaker is the one on the right side when you face the unit.

•• Do not let the bare speaker wires touch each other.
