Listening to iPod 1

1Press the iPod button of the remote control unit (or repeatedly press the SOURCE button) to select “iPod”.

If no iPod is docked, “Unplugged” appears on the display.

If an iPod is already docked, playback will start.

2Insert the iPod into the Dock of the CR-H227i.

“The iPod is connected” briefly appears on the display.

The iPod automatically turns on and starts playback from the iPod’s music list.

<Make sure to use an appropriate Dock adapter (see “Getting started with iPod” on page 22.

<The iPod battery will be fully recharged when the iPod is docked and the CR-H227i is connected to the AC power supply.

<When headphones are plugged into the iPod, sound comes from both the speakers of the CR- H227i and the headphones.

<The STOP button (H) of the remote control unit doesn’t work in iPod mode.

To start or pause playback

In iPod mode, press the PLAY button (G) to start playback.

During playback, press the Pause button (J) to pause playback. Playback stops at the current position. To resume playback, press the PLAY button (G) or the Pause button (J).

<Following buttons on the main unit don’t work in the Click Wheel mode:

PLAY, PAUSE, SKIP

Buttons for CD and iPod

To use the following buttons on the remote control unit in CD mode or in iPod mode, you have to press the CD button or the iPod button beforehand to switch the function of the remote control unit from iPod to CD (or from CD to iPod):

PLAY, PAUSE, SHUFFLE, SKIP, SEARCH,

REPEAT 1/ALL

If the remote control unit doesn’t work, press the CD button or the iPod button and try again.

(Even when the CD or iPod button is pressed without pointing at the main unit, the function of the remote control unit will be switched.)

For instance, to use shuffle function in CD mode, first press the CD button, and then press the SHUFFLE button.
