TAPE DECK OPERATION
Blank skip
It is possible to automatically skip blank portions of the tape which are longer than ten seconds. Simply activate the Blank skip function.
Switching Blank skip on/off
➮Press MENU 8.
➮Press :repeatedly until “BLANK SKIP” appears in the dis- play.
➮Press or:to switch the Blank skip function on or off.
➮Press MENU 8 or OK ;.
Traffic information during cassette playback
If you activate the “TRAFFIC” function (traffic information priority), your car audio system will always be on standby for traffic information. If a traffic an- nouncement is received, cassette play- back will be interrupted and you will hear the message. For more information, re- fer to the section on “Traffic information”.
Tape equalization
When you play a tape marked “metal”
or “CrO”, it is advisable to set the tape

equalization to “MTL ON”.
➮To adjust this setting, press 1 MTL >.
“MTL ON” or “MTL OFF” will appear in the display briefly.
Dolby* B noise reduction
When you play a cassette which has been recorded using Dolby B noise re- duction, you should switch the Dolby function on.
➮Press 6 >.
When the Dolby function is active, will light up in the display.
