USING THE TELEPHONE

Automatic answer

In the Setup menu, you can make a setting so that all incoming calls are answered auto- matically.

In the telephone mode, press OK.

The DSC menu will appear. The cursor will mark Setup.

Press OK.

Press to select Auto. answer.

Press OK.

The AUTOMATIC ANSWER menu will ap- pear in the display.

Press to select the desired setting On or Off.

Press OK.

You will return to the Setup menu.

Rejecting a call

If you do not want to answer a call,

press CLR while the phone is ringing. The caller will hear a busy signal.

Switching the microphone to mute

During a call, you can switch the microphone to mute.

Press AUDIO.

Mute On will appear in the display.

Switching off the mute function

Press AUDIO again.

Mute Off will appear briefly in the display.

Redial

You can have a number redialled from the list of the numbers called last. For more informa- tion, refer to the section on “Dialling telephone numbers from the list of the last calls made” in this chapter.

Automatic redial

In the Setup menu, you can make a setting so that the number is redialled automatically until the call goes through.

In the telephone mode, press OK.

The DSC menu will appear. The cursor will mark Setup.

Press OK.

Press to select Auto. redial.

Press OK.

The AUTOMATIC REDIAL menu will appear in the display.

Press to select the desired setting On or Off.

Press OK.

You will return to the Setup menu.

Ending the automatic redial function

Once the dialling process has begun, press to end automatic redial.

Call waiting (2nd call on hold)

During a telephone call, you can also accept a second incoming call. The first caller will then be put on “hold”.

Note:

It might be necessary to order “Call waiting” service from your provider. Your service pro- vider has more detailed information.

Answering the 2nd call

If you receive a second call while you are al- ready using the telephone, you will hear a sig- nal; if you want to answer the 2nd call,

press OK.

The first caller will be put on “hold”.

Rejecting the 2nd call

Press CLR.

The caller will hear a busy signal.
