MESSAGES / MAILBOX

Setting message validity

You can select a setting to determine how long the Service Center should try and send the message to its recipient. You can select a time frame of one to seven days.

Press OK in the telephone mode.

Press to select Menu.

Press OK.

Press to select Messages.

Press OK.

Press to select Parameters.

Press OK.

Press to select Validity.

Press OK.

Enter the number of days with the but- tons 0 - 9.

Press OK.

The PARAMETERS menu will appear in the display.

Reading old messages

Press OK in the telephone mode.

Press to select Menu.

Press OK.

Press to select Messages.

Press OK.

Press to select Storage.

The Storage with prepared and sent mes- sages will appear in the display. The mes- sages received will indicate the date, time and sender’s number.

Press / to select the desired mes- sage.

Press OK.

If you want to place a call to the sender,

press .

Once you have read the message,

press CLR.

A selection will appear in the display. You can choose whether or not to delete the message.

Press / with the desired option.

Press OK.

Deleting messages

You can delete messages directly after you have read them.

Once you have read the message,

press CLR.

A selection will appear in the display. You can choose whether or not to delete the message.

Press / to select Yes.

Press OK.

Note:

If you want to delete an old message, you have to retrieve it first as described under “Reading old messages”.

Mailbox (Mobile box)

The mailbox (also known as Mobile box) is an answering machine made available to you by your provider. To use the mailbox, you have to enter the mailbox number. You can obtain the mailbox number from your provider.

So that any incoming calls you miss are for- warded to the mailbox, you have to set up call forwarding for the mailbox. For informa- tion on setting up call forwarding and the in- structions, refer to the section on “Call for- warding” in the chapter on “Using the tel- ephone”.

Entering the mailbox phone number / calling the mailbox

Press OK in the telephone mode.

Press to select Menu.

Press OK.

The menu will appear in the display. The cur- sor will mark Mailbox.

Press OK.
