PTY

Switching the PTY function on or off. Settings: ON, OFF.

PTY TYPES

Only possible with activated PTY function: Select a programme type.

Note:

As soon as a programme type has been select- ed, this programme type is shown as menu item in the menu instead of "PTY TYPES".

PTY LANGUAGE

(only for reception area EUROPE)

Only possible with activated PTY function: Select a language for the display of the programme types. Settings: ENGLISH, DEUTSCH (German), FRANCAIS (French).

￿Press the rotary control 7 to change be- tween the languages.

￿Turn the rotary control 7 to select a lan- guage.

￿Press the rotary control 7to confirm the se- lected language.

TUNER AREA (reception area)

Select the reception area for the radio reception. Settings: EUROPE, USA, SOUTH AMERICA, THAI- LAND.

￿Press the rotary control 7to open the menu.

￿Turn the rotary control 7 to change be- tween the reception areas.

￿Press the rotary control 7to select a recep- tion area.

The display shows "PLEASE CONFIRM".

￿Press the rotary control 7 to confirm the selected reception area.

Making settings in the "DISPLAY" menu

DIMMER

Select automatic or manual switching of the dis- play brightness for day or night. Settings: AUTO (display brightness is automatically switched by switching the driving lights on or off ), MANUAL (display brightness can be switched manually).

Automatic switching of the display brightness is possible only If your car sound system is installed as described in the installation instructions and your vehicle features the corresponding connection.

SCROLLING

Select the display of scrolling text (e.g. when dis- playing MP3 file names with more than 15 charac- ters) either as single display or continued display. Settings: 1X (single display), ON (continued display).
