Music Manager software from the Internet or promotional CD-ROMs
In addition to Music Manager software from CD-ROMs included in Music Keg packages, customers may have downloaded and installed a trial version of the Music Manager (v1.85) from the Internet or installed it from a promotional CD- ROM (retail store demo version). While this software is functionally identical to the Music Manager software on the CD-ROMs included with Music Keg units, being trial versions their MP3 encoders automatically become disabled 30 days after they are installed.
•Ask if the customer or dealer is using one of these Music Manager versions with a Music Keg.
•If so, it should be replaced with the software from the CD-ROM included with the Music Keg. Doing this will not overwrite any playlists or setup preferences the user has already made.
•When replacing the Music Manager software with the version from the CD-ROM included with the Music Keg, the screen will display a “Driver already exists” message. Select the “Yes to all” option so that the drivers from the CD-ROM will overwrite drivers previously installed.
•After installing the software from the CD-ROM, the software must then be manually updated to the latest version (see “Manually upgrading the Music Manager software to the latest version”, below).
How to determine what Music Manager software version has been installed:
1.Launch the Kenwood PhatNoise Music Manager software.
2.The Music Manager splash screen will appear. (If the “Load Songs” window appears, select the “cancel” button on the right hand side.)
3.Select the “Options” button at the top of the Music Manager:
