Adjusting and Storing the Crossover Settings

Before performing the following procedures, refer to “About the Crossover” (page 15).

1 Press and hold MENU for at least 2 seconds.

2 Press MENU to select X-OVER.

2 WAY System

3 Press BAND/TEL. to select desired parameter.

LOW (LO) MID HIGH LOW (LO)

(Subwoofer) (REAR) (FRONT) (Subwoofer)

4 Press gor fto select desired cut-off frequency point (cross over point).

Adjustable frequency bands: 20Hz to 200Hz (in 1/3 octave steps)

5 Press SOURCE/POWER to select desired slope.

Adjustable slope: 0 (FLAT (OFF)), 1 (6 dB/oct.), 2 (12 dB/oct.), 3 (18 dB/oct.), 4 (24 dB/oct.)

6 Turn the Rotary encoder to select the desired output level.

Adjustable output level: -12 to 0 dB.

To store the adjusted contents

1)Press and hold, for at least 2 seconds, any one of the preset buttons (1 through 6) into which you wish to store the adjusted contents.

7 For setting another channel, repeat the steps 3 to 6.

8 Press the Rotary encoder to confirm the adjusted contents.

The adjusted contents are not stored if the Rotary encoder is not pressed.

9 After setting, press MENU to select RETURN.

The unit returns to normal mode.

Pressing and holding MENU for at least 2 seconds will return to normal mode.

Crossover mode is automatically canceled if no operation is performed within 15 seconds.

3 WAY System

3 Press BAND/TEL. to select desired parameter.

LOW (LO) MID-L MID-H HIGH LOW (LO)

4 Press gor fto select desired cut-off frequency point (cross over point).

Adjustable frequency bands:

LOW : 20Hz to 200Hz (in 1/3 octave steps)

MID-L : 20Hz to 200Hz (in 1/3 octave steps)

MID-H : 20Hz to 20kHz (in 1/3 octave steps)

HIGH : 1kHz to 20kHz (in 1/3 octave steps)

5 Press SOURCE/POWER to select the desired slope.

Adjustable slope: 0 (FLAT (OFF))*, 1 (6 dB/oct.), 2 (12 dB/oct.), 3 (18 dB/oct.), 4 (24 dB/oct.)

*FLAT can be set for the HIGH slope only when USER'S is selected in "Setting the Response Slope for the High Range Speaker (TW SETUP)" (page 25). Depending on the response characteristics of the speaker, care should be taken when setting the response slope to FLAT, as speaker damage may result. A message is displayed when the response slope for the high range speaker is set to FLAT.

6 Turn the Rotary encoder to select the desired output level.

Adjustable output level: -12 to 0 dB.

To store the adjusted contents

1)Press and hold, for at least 2 seconds, any one of the preset buttons (1 through 6) into which you wish to store the adjusted contents.

7 For setting another channel, repeat the steps 3 to 6.

8 Press the Rotary encoder to confirm the adjusted contents.

The adjusted contents are not stored if the Rotary encoder is not pressed.

9 After setting, press MENU to select RETURN.

The unit returns to normal mode.

About the 2way/3way system

You can switch to 2way/3way system mode with the 2way/3way switch on the bottom of the unit (pages 40 to 42).

When setting to “3 WAY ”:

The unit can be operated in a 3 way system.

F/R Sub-W

When setting to “F/R/Sub-W ”:

 

The unit can be operated in a 2 way system.

Crossover mode is automatically canceled if no operation is performed within 15 seconds.

Recalling the Stored Crossover Settings

1 Press and hold MENU for at least 2 seconds.

2 Press MENU to select X-OVER.

3 Press any one of the preset buttons (1 through

6)that has your desired crossover settings in memory.

4 Press MENU to select RETURN.

The unit returns to normal mode.

Pressing and holding MENU for at least 2 seconds will return to normal mode.

Crossover mode is automatically canceled if no operation is performed within 15 seconds.
