Set up your phone

Replace the battery

1Position the battery so the gold-coloured

contacts match up with those on the phone.

The battery label should be facing away from the phone.

2 Insert the battery, gold-coloured contact end first, into the battery slot.

3Push down on the other end of the battery to snap the battery into place.

Replace the back cover

1 Place the top of the back cover on top of the locking catch at the top of the phone.

2 Position the back cover over the locking catches on both sides of the phone and press down at the top and bottom to lock the cover into place.

Charge the battery

1Plug the charger transformer in to a standard ac wall outlet.

2Insert the charger output plug into

the round charger port at the bottom end of the phone.

After a few seconds, the battery indicator on the start screen starts to scroll from bottom to top. If the battery is completely flat, it may take a few minutes before the charging indicator appears on the start screen or before any calls can be made.

TURN YOUR PHONE ON OR OFF

To turn your phone on or off, press and hold the Power key on top of the phone for at least 3 seconds.

• CONNECT THE HEADSET

A compatible headset may be purchased with your phone or separately as an enhancement. (See “Enhancements” on page 68 for information.)
