Menu 7, System Search

Your phone works in Public Systems (such as your Home System), and in Private Systems (if supported by the net- work). With Menu 7, you choose how the phone selects a network to use. The default is Automatic, which means the phone automatically searches for networks available to you and chooses the appropriate one. Every time you switch on the phone, it resets this to Automatic. (Note that it chooses which Public system to use based on the choice you make in Menu 6 1, Public Systems).

If you choose Manual, the phone searches for networks, then begins displaying them. The phone displays AVAIL- ABLE: or NOT AVAIL: for the systems it finds. (You cannot use NOT AVAIL: systems.) Use the W key to scroll through the choices, and press (OK) when you see the one you want.

If you choose New Search, the phone begins a new search for new Private and Residential systems. When it finds the best new system, it displays it. You can then Select it, or start another search by pressing Next.

To switch from private to public

If you are in a private system and want access to a public system, press and hold left ñ(Menu), when you are not in a call. You can then search through and select avail- able public systems. The phone uses the public system you choose for one outgoing call. After that it goes back to Automatic system selection.

2)Press W to phone number to use.

3)Press left ñ(Select).
