2. The Battery

Your phone is powered by a rechargeable battery. Use only batteries approved by the phone manufacturer and recharge your battery only with the chargers approved by the manufacturer.

New batteries must be charged with the phone off for at least 24 hours before initial use. A new battery’s full performance is achieved only after two or three complete charge

and discharge cycles!

Note: This chapter gives only the basics for battery usage. See “Accessories” on page 48 for more information on chargers and other accessories.
