DTMF Tones

DTMF tones can be sent during conversation. These are often used to access voice mail, paging and computerized home banking. For example, you may need to input a number to remotely access voice mail messages. A phone number may be stored in the Phonebook with DTMF tones, allowing the number to be dialled upon recall and the DTMF number to be sent automatically.

Enter digits (0 to 9, # and *)

Pause Dial

Using pauses allows you to send DTMF tones automatically.

1Enter phone number

2Press and hold 0 until a P is displayed at the end of the phone number entered

3Enter DTMF digits after the pause, e.g. enter the number to access voice mail messages.

4Z D

When the call is successful DTMF tones will be sent after 3 seconds or

ZD to send the DTMF tones manually.

If the DTMF tones are unsuccessful then the destination of your call may require that the length of the tones be increased.
