Receiving Messages

If your phone is ON and you receive a Caller ID, Voice Mail, or alphanumeric message:

1. An alert sounds or vibrates:

Your SC-725 phone will beep or vibrate three times.

See Ring/Vib Select on page 73 to set your phone’s alert.

2.An indicator appears on the display:

Appears when you receive a Caller ID or alphanumeric message. It will stay on the display until you’ve viewed the Caller ID or read the message.

Urgent Msg Appears when you receive an urgent message and your phone is in idle mode.

Msg Mem Full Appears when your alphanumeric message memory is full and your phone is in idle mode. Your Service Provider holds your messages and will forward them after you’ve made room. See Message Options on page 51 to learn how to delete messages.

Appears when you receive a Voice Mail message. It will stay on the display until you’ve listened to the message. Your Service

Provider will then signal your phone to turn the indicator OFF.

3.Press to open the Messaging Menu.

The specific icon will be flashing.

Messaging can be used with the keypad cover closed.
