PHONE OVERVIEW

1Retractable Antenna — Extend for optimum performance.

2 Earpiece

3Status Indicators — Flash or light steadily to alert you to a number of conditions:

IU (In Use) — Flashes while a call is in process.

RM (Roam) — Flashes if phone is accessing a service area out- side of your home system.

NS (No Service) — Flashes or lights steadily if the phone is beyond the range of a cellular system. While lit, calls cannot be placed or received (See Service Area, page 47).

Signal Strength Indicator — Flashes the relative strength of the signal received by the phone.

Battery Strength Indicator — Lights steadily to indicate the estimated remaining capacity of the battery (See Displaying Battery Voltage Meter, page 19).

4Number Display — Displays phone number, memory location number , or message. Some information will require viewing sequentially displayed messages.

5Function Keys

‰ Recalls and displays numbers stored in memory.

ØStores numbers in memory.

ÇClears digits from the display. Press and hold to clear entire display at once.

ÏUsed in conjunction with other keys to access special features.

ÍPlaces or answers a call.

´Ends a call or exits special functions.

Turns the phone on or off.

and ≤ Adjust earpiece and ringer volume.

6Numeric Keypad — Enters call information or programs features.

7Headset Jack — For handsfree use with optional headset accessory.
