SIM card
Insert SIM card
Before you can make a call on your mobile phone you have to insert the SIM card:
Switch off your phone and remove the battery.
Place the SIM card in the small recess in the phone.
Press the SIM card gently downwards and slide it to the right until it locks to the phone.
Insert the battery, replace the battery lid on the phone and switch it on.
Enter PUK or PIN code, if requested, and confirm by pressing (»OK«).
If a number of digits are flashing in your display now, you need to set your clock.
Set clock
Press (»SET«) and enter the time in the display via the keypad.
Press (»OK«).

•Please remember that your SIM card must support 3 volt technology to work with this phone.
•The SIM card is your link to the net- work operator. The SIM card carries your phone number, your phone book and a lot of other features that will fol- low your SIM card if you put it in another phone.
•In this user guide you can see the full capability of your phone, but the presence of some of the features depends on your network operator and/or your SIM card. These features are shown with this symbol in the user guide.
•Most networks allow you to make emergency calls both with and with- out a SIM card.

Facts & Tips
• Use the arrow keys and
to increase and decrease the speaker volume during conversation.
•Your phone is equipped with an internal antenna which is placed in the upper back part of the phone. To achieve optimum speech quality and maximum talk time, you should always hold your phone in the lower part during a call. If you carry the phone in a pocket, the backside of the phone should always point away from your body.
