Chain and Rear Tire Replacement

Tools required: Phillips screwdriver 10 mm wrench, two (2) 8 mm wrench es and two (2) 1 7 mm wrenches

1With a Phillips screwdriver, l oosen the two screws and remove the chain guard.

4With a 10mm wrench, l oosen both axle adjusters an equal amount, about five turns.

2With a 10mm wrench,

l oosen the brake cable anchor and disconnect the cable.

5With two 17mm wrenches, loosen the axle. Push the wheel forward in the slots to loosen the chain.

3 With two 8mm wrenches, l oosen brake housing anchor and disconnect. Keep the spacer and washers together.

6Pull the wheel out. Note the arrangement of the hardware sequence. The spacer order is small, medium and large, with the small spacer between the brake and frame, the medium between the brake and wheel and the long between the wheel and frame.

7Install new chain or wheel by maneuvering the chain onto the sprocket and slipping the axle into the slots on the frame.

8To hook up the brake housing anchor, align the cable guide adjuster and install the spacer and bolt. Do not tighten until final step.

9Install the brake spring and thread the cable wire into the cable anchor. Thread the cable to its original position and tighten securely.
