HOW TO USE HEART RATE PROGRAMS

Heart rate program 9 is designed to keep your heart rate between 50% and 80% of your estimated maxi- mum heart rate during your workout. (Your maximum heart rate is estimated by subtracting your age from

220.For example, if you are 30 years old, your esti- mated maximum heart rate is 190.) Heart rate pro- gram 10 will keep your heart rate between 50% and 85% of your estimated maximum heart rate. Heart rate program 11 will keep your heart rate between 50% and 90% of your estimated maximum heart rate. Heart rate program 12 will keep your heart rate near a target heart rate that you choose.
