We recommend that, whenever possible, you secure the safety seat in the center position of the seat directly behind the front seats Ê. We also recommend that an adult ride in the rear seat to watch the child. If the driver is the only adult present, a child who must be closely watched may need to ride in

the front seat, but should only do so if there is no passenger-side air bag and all of the other vehicle seat and seat belt requirements listed below are met.

4.2Be Sure Your Vehicle Seat Meets All of These Requirements

!NEVER PLACE THIS SAFETY SEAT IN A VEHICLE SEATING LOCATION THAT HAS AN AIR BAG Ë. If an air bag inflates, it can hit the safety seat with great force and cause serious injury or death to your child.
