Setting the Parental Level

Using this function, you can restrict playback of DVD containing violent scenes (and those not suitable for your family members).

This function is only possible for the DVDs containing such rating level information (Level 1 to Level 8.)

To go back to the previous screen during the procedure, press RETURN.

1 Press SETUP.

Setup menu appears on the TV screen.

If you do not want to make any restriction, select “UNLOCK.”

7To change the password

1 Press SETUP.

Setup menu appears on the TV screen.

2 Press Cursor ° (or 5) to select (highlight) “5 PARENTAL,” then press ENTER.

3 Press the number buttons to enter the password.

If you enter a wrong password, “WRONG PASSWORD!” appears.

4 Press Cursor ° (or 5) to select (highlight) “2 CHANGE PASSWORD,” then press

ENTER.

5 Press the number buttons to enter a new password.

The password confirmation screen appears.

6 Press the number buttons to re-enter the new password.

To erase the Setup menu, press RETURN repeatedly until the Setup menu disappears.

7When you forget the password

1Press DUBBING for a few seconds while the unit is turned on and the DVD is selected as

the source.

Language selection menu appears on the TV screen.
