Mobile Home Installation

Dryer MUST be exhausted outside (outdoors, not

1

beneath the mobile home) using metal ducting

that will not support combustion. Metal ducting

must be 4(10.16 cm) in diameter with no

obstructions. Rigid metal duct is preferred.

If dryer is exhausted through the floor, the

2

exhaust system MUST NOT terminate beneath the

mobile home. Termination MUST be securely

fastened to the mobile home structure.

When installing a dryer into a mobile home,

3

a provision must be made for outside make-up

air. Provide an opening with a free area of at

least 25 square inches for introduction of outside

air into the dryer room.

Gas dryers MUST be fastened to the floor
