How much Detergent and Fabric Softener?

The amount to be used depends on

the load:

If the detergent manufacturer does not make any specifications for small loads, use a third less for half loads, and for very small loads only use half of the amount of washing powder recommended for a full load.

the soiling:

For only lightly soiled washing use less washing powder. Follow the instructions of the detergent manufacturer and load.

the water hardness:

The harder the water, the higher the dosage! You will find the quanti- ties to use according to water hardness on the detergent packet.

Using a Water Softening Agent

In hard water areas, the use of a water softening agent can reduce the amount of detergent necessary. See manufacturers recommendations.
