Child Safety Device

In order to protect a program setting from being accidentally changed (e.g. turning the program selector, pressing extra keys, etc.), you can set the child safety device. This prevents children from damaging your washing.

3The child safety device can also be set and cancelled whilst a program is running.

Set the Child Safety Device:

0 1. Set the desired program.

2.Press the START/PAUSE button to start the program.

3.Press and hold the PRE WASH and SOAKING button simultaneously for 5 seconds. The program progress display flashes for 5 seconds; the child safety device is set.

3As long as the child safety device is set you cannot make any other set- tings. The door cannot be opened with the DOOR/LIGHT button. Also after the washing cycle has finished you first have to cancel the child safety device before you can open the door.

If an attempt is made to change the selected settings during the wash- ing cycle by activating a button, the program progress display blinks for 5 seconds.

If an attempt is made to change selected settings by turning the pro- gram selector, the program progress display blinks until the program selector is returned to its original position. The washing cycle remains unaffected in either case.

3The program selector must be in its original position in order to delete program protection.

Cancelling the Child Safety Device:

0Press and hold the PRE WASH and the SOAKING button simultaneously for 5 seconds. The program progress display blinks for 5 seconds and then remains continuously lit for 5 seconds; The child safety device is cancelled
