Fabric setting chart
•If the ironing instructions for the fabric are missing, but you know the type of the fabric, refer to the following table:

NOTE: The iron heats up more quickly than it cools down.
Steam ironing
CAUTION: Always fill the water reservoir (12) with water before connecting the iron with the mains.
•Fill the iron with water ( Filling the iron with water). Connect the iron to a suitable wall outlet.
•Turn the function knob (4) right to the steam ironing position (ill. g ).
•Set the temperature ( Setting the temperature).
•Press the fabric setting button (7) repeatedly, until the desired setting is displayed ( Fabric setting chart).
•Allow the iron to heat up until the fabric setting display (7) stops blinking and beeps once.
•During preheating, do not touch the soleplate (14) to feel the temperature (ill. e ).
Danger of burns!
•Do not preheat the iron with the soleplate (14) facing down. Always place the iron on its heel (10) (ill. d ).
