Advanced operations

This section explains advanced operations of DVD, Video CD, SVCD, and Audio CD playback using the remote control. For MP3 playback, see page 55, and for JPEG playback, see page 57.

Before operating the DVD player from the remote control, press DVD to use the remote control for the disc operations.

Turn on your TV, and select the correct input mode on the TV.

If “ ” appears on the TV screen when pressing a button, the disc cannot accept an operation you have tried to do, or information required for that operation is not recorded on the disc.

IMPORTANT:

When using the remote control, check to see if its remote control mode selector is set to the correct

You can check the information of a disc while the disc is loaded, and you can use some functions through the on- screen bar.

2: shows the current transfer rate (Megabits per second).

3: shows the current title number.

4: shows the current chapter number (for DVD) or track number (for Video/Audio CD and SVCD).

5: shows the time information. See page 42.

6: shows the playback condition.

: appears during playback.

/ : appears during fast forward/reverse.

/: appears during playback in forward slow- motion/reverse slow-motion.

: appears while paused.

: appears while stopped.

7: Select this to change the time information (5). See page 42.
