Operating other manufacturers’ VCR

By changing the remote control signals from preset ones to the other manufacturers’, you can use the remote control supplied for this system to operate other manufacturers’ VCRs.

You can also operate other manufacturers’ TVs using the remote control supplied with this system. (See page 20.)

When operating other manufacturers’ VCR, aim the remote control directly at the remote control sensor on your VCR. Refer also to the instruction manuals supplied with your VCR.

7Setting the remote control signal for operating your

VCR.

You can operate your VCR without setting the remote control signal if your VCR is a JVC VCR.

1Slide the remote control mode selector to ”DVD.”

2Press and hold VCR .

Keep it pressed until step 4 is finished.

3Press VCR CONTROL.

4Press Number buttons (1-9, 0) to enter a manufacturer’s code (2 digit).

See the list below to find the code.

Examples: For a Philips VCR, press 0, then 5.

For a Panasonic VCR, press 2, then 1.

When your VCR turns on or off, you have entered the correct code.

If there are more than one cord listed for your brand of VCR, try each one

until you enter the correct one.

PLAY:

Starts playback.

STOP:

Stops operation.

PAUSE:

Pauses playback.

Fast forwards a video tape.

Rewinds a video tape.

÷REC:Press this button together with PLAY to start recording.

Press this button together with PAUSE to pause recording.

CHANNEL +/–: Changes the TV channels on the VCR.
