Drain System Requirements

The washer-dryer can be installed using the standpipe drain system, floor drain system or the sink drain system. To prevent siphoning, the outlet end of the drain hose (provided with unit) MUST be at least 20” (50.8 cm) above the base of the machine. Not more than 6” (15.24 cm) of the drain hose should be inserted into the drain pipe.

The standpipe drain requires a minimum diameter stand- pipe of 1-1/4” (3.2 cm). The minimum carry-away capacity can be no less than 7 gal (26.5 L) per minute. The top of the standpipe must be at least 25 in. (62 cm) high and no higher than 34” (86 cm) from the bottom of the washer.
