8 Using the Timer

Using the wake up timer

You can use the timer as an alarm clock to wake up to the sound of a disc loaded, the radio, or the optional tape or MD deck. If you have an external component operated by a separate timer, you can also set the source function to that.

Once the timer is active, it will switch the system on everyday at the set time.

Unlike an ordinary alarm clock, you need to set a system switch off time as well as a switch on time.

You can only use the timer features if the clock is set.

1Select the source that you want to wake up to.

For a disc, press DVD/CD; for the radio press TUNER FM/AM. For another component, press the correspond- ing button.

2Prepare the source.

Load a disc, tape, or MD, or tune to a radio station.

3Press CLOCK/TIMER and select WAKE- UP.

• Press 2 or 3 to change the displayed option. Press

ENTER to

select it.

4 Select TIMER EDIT.

•Change menu options using the 2 and 3 buttons. Press ENTER to select the currently displayed option.

5 Set the switch on time.

Use 5 and ∞ to set the hour then press ENTER. Set the minute in the same way, pressing ENTER to finish.

1選擇需要喚醒的音源。

若選擇碟片，則按DVD/CD；若選擇收音機，則按 TUNER FM/AM。對於其他設備，則按相應的按 鈕。

2準備音源。

裝入碟片，磁帶或MD，或者調諧至某一電台。

3按CLOCK/TIMER選擇WAKE-UP。

4選擇TIMER EDIT。

÷用5和∞按鈕變更選單的選項。按ENTER選定當 前顯示的項目。

5設置打開時間。

用5和∞設置小時，然後按ENTER。以同樣方法設 置分鐘，按ENTER結束操作。
