Recording Your Capture

After all outputs are defined, you can start a recording:

1To start a recording, click the Record button.

2During the recording the Record button flashes in red.

3To stop your recording, click on the Record button once more. An Explorer window will appear. Each output of your recording will be contained in a separate directory.

Each recording is created in a directory named with the recording's date/time stamp. Within this folder are each of the outputs defined in the Session Properties. For example, if a recording session includes an output labeled "Audio Only," a folder named "Audio Only" is created within the date/time stamped directory.

NOTE: When using the Polycom VMC 1000 to start a live recording, do not stop recording locally on the Polycom Recording Studio. For more information on using the PRS 2000 as an encoder in the VMC 1000 platform, consult the Appendix.
