MANIJA DEL FRENO (FIGURA 4)

Pruebe la manija del freno. Observe cómo la palanca del freno engancha la rueda. Si la tensión del freno está demasiado floja o apretada, ajústela de la siguiente manera:

1.Afloje la tuerca de ajuste de la manija del freno girándola en SENTIDO HORARIO.

2.Realice uno (1) de los pasos siguientes:

A.LIBERE LA TENSIÓN DE LA MANIJA DEL FRENO – Afloje la tensión de la manija girando su tuerca en SENTIDO HORARIO.

NOTA: Si la palanca del freno raspa la rueda trasera, afloje la manija.

B.TENSIONE LA MANIJA DEL FRENO – Apriete la tensión de la manija girando su tuerca en SENTIDO ANTIHORARIO.

NOTA: Si la palanca del freno no responde rápidamente, apriete los frenos.

3.Gire la tuerca de ajuste de la manija del freno en sentido antihorario para asegurarla en su lugar.

4.Realice uno (1) de los pasos siguientes:

A.TENSIÓN ACEPTABLE – Repita los PASOS 1 al 3 para el lado opuesto si es necesario.

B.TENSIÓN INACEPTABLE – consulte la sección UNIDAD AJUSTA- DORA DEL CABLE en este procedimiento de la hoja de instrucciones.

5.Consulte la sección USO/TRABADO/DESTRABADO DE LOS FRENOS DE MANO en esta hoja de instrucciones.
