Si la sonde a été bien introduite dans le conduit auditif tout au long du processus de prise de température, un long signal sonore indiquera la fin du processus de mesure. Le thermomètre détecte qu’une prise de température adéquate a été effectuée. Le résultat apparaît sur l’afficheur

(5).

Le voyant « ExacTemp » (7) peut être utile lorsqu’il s’agit de prendre la température d’une autre personne. Ce voyant clignote au cours du processus de mesure lorsque la sonde est bien positionnée, et s’allume continuellement lorsque le thermomètre détecte qu’une prise de tempé- rature précise a été effectuée.

4.Si la sonde n’a pas été placée constamment en position stable dans le conduit auditif, l’utili- sateur entendra une série de courts signaux sonores, le voyant « ExacTemp » s’éteindra et l’afficheur indiquera un message d’erreur

(« POS » = erreur de position).

5.Pour la prochaine mesure, éjecter le filtre de lentille usé [appuyer sur l’éjecteur (4)] et fixer un nouveau filtre de lentille propre.

Attendre le signal sonore d’état prêt. Bien intro- duire la sonde dans le conduit auditif, appuyer sur le bouton de mise en marche, puis le relâcher.

Le thermomètre pour l’oreille Braun ThermoScan s’arrête automatiquement après 60 secondes d’inactivité. Le modèle IRT 4520 peut également être mis hors tension en appuyant sur le bouton « I/O » pendant au moins trois secondes.

L’afficheur indiquera le message « OFF » (hors tension) pendant un court instant et, après avoir relâché le bouton, ce message disparaîtra.
