5.Plug other end of the AC POWER SUPPLY CORD into an electrical outlet which cannot be switched off. Do not use and outlet that

can be turned on and oti by a wall switch.

Note: Whenever a power outage occurs, or

batteries are replaced, the HANDSET must be returned to the BASE to reset the security

code.

6.Raise ANTENNA on BASE.

7.Set TONflPULSE SWITCH on the BASE to the position compatible with your telephone service. (If you’re not sure, check with your local telephone company.)

8.Place HANDSET in BASE to charge battery.

Notes: Before initial use of CORDLESS HANDSET, battery should be charged for 12 or more hours, See, “Charging the Battery Pack”.

The Ringer switch must be “ON” for the HANDSET to ring.
