Before You Start

Before installing your system, read and understand the safety instructions on page ii (inside front cover). Be sure you have all the necessary parts, tools, and test equipment, listed below.

2.Check Shipping Container Contents.

3. Have Required Tools

The following tools are required for the installation of the hardware and cabling.

nPhillips screwdriver (small and large)

nStandard blade screwdriver (small and large)

nWire strippers (24 AWG - 12 AWG)

nTelephone test set

nTone out circuit tester (optional, for troubleshooting)

nVolt-ohm Meter (optional, for troubleshooting)

n4 wood screws, if mounted on wall

4.Verify Interface Compatibility with Telephone System and Paging System (see Table 1-1on the next page).
