Storing a Pause in Memory

In some telephone systems, you must dial an access code (9, for ex- ample) and wait for a second dial tone before you can dial an outside number. You can store the access code with the phone number. How- ever, you should also store a pause after the access code to allow the outside line time to connect.

22

To add one or more 2-second paus- es to a phone number you are storing in memory, press HOLD at each point where a pause is needed.
