1.To record the OGM 1 (or OGM 2) message for each line, hold down OGM 1 (or OGM 2) until the TAD beeps and both ANSWER indicators flash.

Notes:

Proceed next step within 8 seconds. Otherwise, the TAD sounds a short beep, and you must start again from Step 1.

Recording OGM 2 only does not turn on the TAD. You must start re- cording OGM from OGM 1.

2.Press ANSWER above the desired LINE 1 or LINE 2, and speak your message from about 8 inches from the front of the TAD.

3.When you finish, press STOP. The TAD beeps and plays back the out- going message.

Note: When you finish recording OGM 1 only, the TAD automatically sets to answer on. The ANSWER in- dicator above LINE 1 lights.

SETTING THE NUMBER OF RINGS

Set each line’s ring select switch to 2, 4, 7, or TS to set how long the TAD waits before it answers a call (2 rings, 4 rings, 7 rings or toll-saver).

If you plan to check your messages by long distance, set the ring select switch to TS (see “Using the Toll-Saver” on Page 17).

Checking the Outgoing

Messages

To check an outgoing message, press its button (OGM 1 or OGM 2). You see the announcement number A1 or A2, the TAD beeps and both ANSWER indi-
