Congratulations on purchasing this GE Dual Cordless Handset Telephone System. This system operates in the 2.4 GHz frequency range, and is unique to conventional cordless telephones. When the base is connected to electrical power and a telephone line, it can support up to two cordless handsets, and you can place a fully featured cordless handset anywhere an electrical power line is available.
