1.Plug one end to the modular handset cord into the modular receptacle on the left side of the unit. Plug the other end of the cord into the handset receptacle (figure 3).
2. Plug one end of the straight modular telephone line cord into the line jack at the front of the base unit.
3.Plug the other end of the straight line cord directly into an appropriate telephone jack (figure 4).
4.Lift the telephone handset and listen for dial tone to ensure proper connection to the telephone line.
