Using the Answering Machine

Your telephone’s integrated answering system uses audible prompts to provide access to the system’s features and help you set up the device.

During the initial power up of your answering machine, the system announces, “Press

review to receive set-up instructions.”

Setting Up Your Answering Machine

When you press the rewind ( ) key, the system announces:

Press and hold announcement key to record announcement. Release key to stop recording.

Press announcement key to check announcement. Press and hold minute or hour key to set time. Press minute key to set exact minute.

Press and hold day time key to set day. Press day time key to check day and time.

How to Change Your Answering Machine Language Prompts

To change the language for your system prompts and pre-recorded out-going messages (USA models — English/Spanish prompts, Canada models — English/French prompts):

Press and hold the fast forward ( ) button. The display reads En for English, SP for Spanish, or FR for French. The system announces the set-up prompt in the selected language.
