Using the Handset
The chart below shows how many times to press each button on the handset to enter letters, and numbers. Use the scroll keys to backspace to make corrections.

6Press Program or Sel/Transfer to save the name. The display reads Enter Number.
7Enter up to 24 digits for the telephone number. You can add a pause to the number by pressing Redial.
8Press Program or Sel/Transfer to save the number. The display reads Distinct Ring?
9Press cidy or zdir to select Y (Yes) or N (No). If you select Y, a distinctive ring tone sounds each time the programmed number calls, and a D is displayed with the Speed Dial entry. You must have Caller ID to use this feature.
10Press Sel/Transfer to save the entry.
