Using the Telephone

Switching the Handset On/Off / Display Illumination

When the handset is place on the base station or charging unit, it switches on automatically and starts to charge up. Allow the batteries to be charged for 14 hours without interruption when the first time they are charged. The telephone does not have an On/Off switch.

Note: The display illumination switches on automatically when the handset is removed from the charging station or by pressing any key. It also lights up when calls are received. The display switches off after 10 seconds if no key is pressed.

Selecting the Language

Ten different languages are available for selection for each handset. Proceed as follows to select a language:

1.Press the key repeatedly until menu item LANGUAGE appears.

2.Press the key to confirm the item.

3.

Press

as often as necessary to select the required language.

4.

Press the

 

key to confirm the selection.

Note: The following languages are available: English, German, Italian, France, Spainish, Huangarian, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Turkish.

Making Internal Calls

With more than one handset registered to the same base as you, you can make internal calls between handsets.

1.Press the key.

2.Press the number of the required handset (1..4).The other handset will ring.

3.Press the key to end the call.

Note: If an external call is received during an internal

call, you will hear short beeps to indicate you have a call waiting. (call waiting).

Making External Calls

There are two ways to dial a number, namely direct dialing and on-hook dialing.

Direct dialing

 

 

1.

Press the

key and wait for the dialing tone.

 

2.

Dial the telephone number and complete the call.

 

3.

Press the

key to end the call.

 

On-hook dialing

 

 

1.

Dial the telephone number.

 

2.

Delete any incorrect entries by pressing the

key.

3.

Press the

key. The number entered is dialed and a

 

connection established.

 

4.

Press the

key to end the call.

 

Out of Range Warning

If the handset moves out of communication range with the base station, will flash.

In handsfree mode, all communication is via the handset speakerphone and microphone, leaving your ‘hands free’. You can make a call handsfree or switch to

18 handsfree during a call.
