6.THE SETTINGS DIALOG

The ADTRAN IP SoftPhone includes a Settings dialog which provides access to a variety of relevant settings. Right-select on the softphone to bring up the context menu; then choose Settings to access the ADTRAN IP SoftPhone’s settings dialog. The Settings dialog can also be accessed by pressing F8 on your keyboard.

SIP Accounts

In the Settings dialog, all currently configured SIP accounts are shown under the SIP Accounts menu branch. To view or edit the SIP account configuration, navigate the menu structure under the listed SIP account. To add a new account, select Add a new SIP Account. Complete the configuration for the new account by navigating the nested menus. The configuration options are described below.

Server

Figure 4 shows the Server menu for a SIP account configuration. This information will be supplied by your VoIP service provider or administrator. Not all fields are required, depending on the system. Table 5 provides detailed information on these configuration options. When the information is complete, select OK to save the settings.
