The AUDIO OUTPUT socket allows you to connect the XL-30 to a hearing aid, neck loop, cochlear implant or other assistive listening devices.

The XL-30 can amplify your outgoing voice by up to 15 dB. To use this feature, set the outgoing voice amplifier switch to AMPLIFY (underneath the unit). Note: Even with the AMPLIFY switch ON, the voice of your callers can still be amplified by up to 15dB.

Note: The factory pre-setting is

NORMAL.

Cochlear Implant Adapter Cord

To use this port, plug in a compatible auxiliary cable and connect it to your assistive listening device. Speak into the handset when you use the Audio Output connection.

A cochlear adapter cord is available from Ameriphone that can be used to directly connect the XL-30 into a speech processor.
