6.6.2 How to set ring delay

You can set the number of rings before the answering machine answers and starts playing your greeting message. You can set the answering machine to answer after three to eight rings or economy.

Note

Economy mode can save you the cost of a long- distance call when you check your messages remotely. If there are new messages in your answering machine, the outgoing message will start playing after three rings. If there are no new messages, the outgoing message will be played after five rings. Hence, if you want to check if you have any messages without incurring call charges, you can hang up the call after the fourth ring.

6.6.3 How to set message tone

An alert tone sounds periodically when there is new message. You can turn on or off this message alert tone. The default setting is Off.

6.6.4Remote control access

This feature lets you check your messages, or otherwise operate your answering machine, by calling the answering machine when you are away from home on a tone dialing phone.
