Answering Calls

When a call is being received, the unit rings and the called line indicator ﬂashes quickly. You can answer a call by simply lifting the handset. The line is automatically selected, when you answer the call. (To change the line selection, see page 41.)

If you subscribe to a Caller ID service, the calling party information will be displayed after the ﬁrst ring (p. 24). In order to view the Caller ID information, please wait until the second ring to answer a call.

Using the speakerphone

1 Press (SP-PHONE/HEADSET).³The indicator lights.

³The called line indicator lights.

2 Talk into the MIC (microphone).

3 To hang up, press (SP-PHONE/HEADSET).

³In step 1, you may answer a call by pressing the line button or any dialing button ((1) to (0), ($) or (#)) instead of (SP-PHONE/HEADSET).

³When the ringer volume is set to “OFF”, the selected line(s) will not ring (p. 18).
