Selecting the Base Unit Ringer Volume

4 levels (HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW, OFF) are available. The factory preset is MEDIUM. When set to OFF, the base unit will not ring.

Make sure that the power is ON (p. 12) and the unit is in the stand-by mode.

Chapter 1

1 Press PROG then INT .

2 Press 2 TWICE.

•The current volume is displayed.

1:LOW 2: MEDIUM 3: HIGH

0:OFF

Ex. MEDIUM is selected.

3 Press the desired volume level 1 , 2 , 3 or 0 .

•Each time you press a button, the selected volume is displayed and rings.

4 Press PROG .

•A confirmation tone sounds and the display will return to the stand-by mode.

Preparation

Setting the Auto Talk Feature

The Auto Talk feature allows you to answer a call by lifting the handset off the base unit without

pressing . If you want to use this feature, turn the feature ON. The factory preset is OFF. In order to view caller’s phone number before answering a call, leave the Auto Talk feature OFF.

Make sure that the power is ON (p. 12) and the unit is in the stand-by mode.

1 Press PROG .

2Press G or F until “F28 ” is displayed.

3Press OK .

•The current setting is displayed.

0:OFF (factory preset) 1: ON Ex. OFF is selected.
