OPERATING FEATURES

MONITORING AN FRS CHANNEL

When you are not receiving a call, the squelch on the transceiver automatically mutes the speaker so that you will not hear very weak signals or background noise. Deactivating this feature to listen to background noise makes adjusting the volume simpler as well.

1Press and hold the M key for more than 0.5 seconds.

Squelch is deactivated while you are pressing this key. You will hear background noise at this time.

2 Release the M key to reactivate the squelch.
