Steps 5 and 6 are unnecessary when titling the card. Proceed to “Entering characters” in step 6.

5Press [:] or [9] to select the track you want to title.

6Press [ENTER/MEMORY].

You can now enter characters.

Entering characters

1Press [DISPLAY, CHARA] to select the type. Each time you press the button:

[>Capitals

l ;

lLower case

l ; {=Numbers

2Press the character/numbered buttons to select.

The characters change each time you press a button.

Step 3 is unnecessary when entering numbers.

3Press [ENTER/MEMORY].

The character moves to the title section and the unit is ready to accept the next character.

7 Press [ENTER/MEMORY].

Editing is complete when “CARD Writing” goes out. When entering track titles or artist names, you can continue to enter other titles or names as neces- sary. Repeat the steps from step 5 and press [MENU] when you are finished.

When entering the card title, editing ends auto-

matically.

To stop partway

Press [MENU] before step 7.

Note:

The maximum number of characters may be reduced if the audio data was recorded on other equipment.

If the title has 60 characters.

You cannot enter more than 60 characters.

You can enter up to 60 characters for card and track titles and artist names.

Preparation:

Press [, OPR OFF, FUNCTION] to select SD. Release the write-protect switch (page 8).

1 Press [MENU].

“EDIT?” is displayed.

2Press [ENTER/MEMORY].

3Press [:] or [9] to select the

item you want to enter.

“TRACK TITLE?”

“TRACK ARTIST INFO?” “CARD TITLE?”

Deleting and correcting characters

1Press [:] or [9] to move the cursor over the character you want to correct or delete.

2Press [MODE, DEL].

The character is deleted and characters after it move to the left.

(When correcting a character)

3 Insert the character.

To insert another character

1Press [:] or [9] to move the cursor to the position you want to insert the character.

2Enter the character.

Characters after it move to the right.
