Before requesting service for this unit, check the chart below for a possible cause of the problem you are experiencing. Some simple checks or a minor adjustment on your part may eliminate the problem and restore proper operation.

As a safety precaution, the portable CD players made by Panasonic are constructed so it is impossible to recharge ordinary batteries.
Only batteries especially designed for this unit can be recharged.

Ordinary dry cell batteries/rechargeable batteries
≥If rechargeable battery play time is short after recharg- ing, the batteries have reached the end of their service life. Replace them with the recommended replace- ments.
≥Play time may be shorter than usual after recharging batteries for the first time or after they have been un- used for a long time. Repeatedly recharge and dis- charge the batteries if this occurs to restore them to normal.
